The Account Representative - Inside Sales plays a critical role in supporting sales management and our team of Sales Managers. This role involves managing RFQ and RFP responses, processing purchase orders, and providing operational support across various contracts and proposal efforts, always with a focus on exceeding client needs and advancing mission objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to sales management and sales representatives, including bid/quote preparation, order processing, and tracking.
- Meet requirements for various contract vehicles such as SEWP, CIO-CS, GSA, and ITES-SW.
- Handle opportunity management from discovery to quote preparation and submission.
- Engage in sales and lead generation, identifying new federal opportunities and collaborating with partners to address client needs.
- Uphold ACI’s values in ethics and compliance, conducting all activities in alignment with the Company's Code of Business Ethics.
- Research and assess potential partners and emerging technologies to support sales efforts.
- Register new opportunities with partners as appropriate.
- Create quotes and respond to customer requests, securing partner pricing when needed.
- Process purchase orders upon award, overseeing tracking and logistics.
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, including OEMs and distributors.
- Attend and support partner events as a company representative.
- Support the outside sales team with pricing strategies and assist in preparing RFQs and RFPs.
- Manage post-sales follow-up, addressing any shipping or ordering issues.
- Foster a positive image of ACI in the marketplace.
- Contribute to a success-oriented, ethical, and accountable work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity.
- Familiarity with FAR and other regulations for government contracting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in sales operations or similar roles preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
