Location: Remote, U.S.-based
American Capital Investments, Inc. (ACI) seeks a talented DevSecOps Lead to enhance the security of our applications and infrastructure. As part of our team, you’ll integrate security into the DevOps process, collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to automate security testing, address vulnerabilities, and improve secure coding practices. You will maintain and evolve our CI/CD pipelines to ensure the continuous delivery of quality solutions in a secure, scalable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and continuously improve DevSecOps practices and processes across Agile teams.
- Ensure seamless delivery of software solutions through well-maintained CI/CD pipelines and configuration management best practices.
- Research tools and methodologies to optimize infrastructure and reduce operational costs.
- Automate software development tasks to support the rapid deployment of secure, high-quality solutions.
- Develop and refine monitoring tools and processes to strengthen DevSecOps practices.
- Manage complex environments and systems, including secure certificate management and configuration.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and developers to troubleshoot application and performance issues.
- Apply security patches and perform system updates as necessary.
- Coordinate with the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to conduct security scans, remediate issues, and maintain authorization standards.
- Support infrastructure changes and improvements as requested.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance; U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of IT experience.
- Proven experience in a technical or project leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience with Agile systems development.
- 5+ years working with DevSecOps tools and orchestration in deployment processes.
- 5+ years working with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python, ReactJS, Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or related technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL and familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert).
- Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA.
- Experience working on federal contracts, covering various development approaches, including custom and low-code/no-code solutions.
