The Systems Engineer role is vital in guiding clients through technical complexities, providing product demonstrations, presales support, and hands-on expertise in cybersecurity and data solutions. This role requires a highly knowledgeable and adaptable professional with excellent communication skills and technical depth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team by preparing and delivering technical presentations and statements of work aligned with client requirements.
- Engage in consultations and product capability assessments to address specific customer needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, acting as an external technical spokesperson.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and competition within the customer experience and cybersecurity sectors.
- Uphold high ethical standards and adherence to company policies and compliance.
- Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer within the Federal market.
- Strong dedication to quality, organizational skills, and independent work capability.
- Effective multitasking abilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Solid understanding of data center technologies, including storage, networking, and computing.
- Hands-on knowledge of security products and protocols (e.g., IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, SANS) preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Experience:
- Proven expertise in security products and related technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of architectural design principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science or Engineering, preferred.
- Security clearance preferred.
